President Obama will be making use of his executive authority to give amnesty to millions of undocumented immigrants, at least according to the National Citizenship and Immigration Services Council president Kenneth Palinkas. Palinkas made the claim on Thursday during an interview with Breitbart News.
The White House has tried to play down the recent solicitation of material for millions of green cards, but Palinkas believes there is more evidence to suggest that Obama is planning to do just this. Palinkas recently attended a meeting with labor heads and Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security’s deputy secretary, and says he got the impression that the contract negotiation process was being rushed.
“They are looking to set timelines for us to get things done now,” Palinkas believes. “That to me is a major signal they want to push everything forward because they are getting ready for immigration reform. To me it is nonsense, but it’s this constant drive to get where they want to get to with immigration reform at any cost.”
Palinkas appeared to confirm what many have suspected – that the solicitation from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services for millions of new immigration documents is a sign that the president is preparing to give legal status to many of the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants already living and working in the US. Palinkas is against amnesty and previously spoke out against the comprehensive immigration reform bill that passed the Senate last year.
