Some individuals are not admissible into the US under US law. In most cases, these grounds for inadmissibility include health issues, criminal backgrounds, or immigration factors. If you are not admissible into the US or if you wish to change your immigration status but find that you are not admissible for some reason, you may be able to seek to have these restrictions removed. To do so, you must file USCIS Form I-601 (Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility). If approved, you may be declared admissible into the US despite your inadmissibility. However, filing USCIS Form I-601 will require you to prove that you should be allowed into the US.
