When some individuals are allowed to enter the US, they are subject to Special Requirements. Those who are subject to these requirements must, among other things, keep the USCIS authorities notified of their most current address. Immigrants who are subject to special requirements can notify the USCIS when they move by filing AR-11 SR (Alien's Change of Address Card). By law, immigrants need to file a change of address form within ten days of moving. Failure to do so can lead to penalties and revoking of status. It is important to file AR-11 SR even if you will be moving a few times. The form does not cost anything to file. As well, this form is important because it is intended to keep all residents of the US.
