The processing time for Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence can vary based on the workload of the service center that is processing your case. As of July 2018, the service centers are taking between 13 and 21 months, approximately, to process I-751 applications. Field offices take a little longer to process these petitions. These offices are currently taking between 17 and 33 months to process Form I-751.

Receipt of Form I-751
Usually, in around three to five weeks from the date of filing your Form I-751, you will receive a letter that confirms the receipt of your application from the USCIS. This is the Form I-797C, Notice of Action.
You may not receive an application receipt letter if your form was not filed properly. You will receive a Notice of Action informing you, that your application is being rejected. If USCIS requires additional information to decide on your case, you will receive a Request for Evidence. This will also delay your application. You will need to make sure you prepare your application correctly and submit all the supporting documents listed on the form instructions page.
You can use your Form I-797C as a proof that you have submitted your application to remove conditions on residence. This document will be valid for a year. You can keep this document along with your expired conditional green card with you at all times to prove your conditional resident status in the U.S.
Biometrics Appointment
Applicants filing Form I-751 to remove conditions on their Green Card will need to submit biometrics information. An appointment is usually scheduled by the USCIS in around six to nine weeks from the date of an application being accepted for processing. Applicants usually receive the appointment notice for biometrics in approximately five to seven weeks.
If you are scheduled for a biometrics appointment, you will be required to visit an Application Support Center (ASC) to submit biometrics information. There, your photo, signature and fingerprints will be collected. Follow instructions on your biometrics appointment notice and take with you the documents listed on the notice, to your appointment. A photo identification document will be required to enter the ASC.
Interview
If an interview is required in your case, interviews are usually scheduled between five and nine months after filing your application. You and your U.S. citizen spouse will have to appear for this interview. In most cases, USCIS waives interviews for I-751 applications that were filed jointly with proper evidence of a bona fide marriage. If you had requested a waiver to the joint filing requirement, you might be required to appear for an I-751 interview.
Get Your Green Card
If your petition has been approved, your new ten-year Green Card will be mailed to you.
If your application was not approved, USCIS will send you a notice with the reasons for denial.
